Bait and Switch? Overcharge for 10 minutes of work, or lack there of!

Service call for a clothes dryer that did not heat up.
The tech. Arrived, his heat probe did not work properly. He said he had to look at the rear of the machine, but can't move it out. I just had shoulder surgery and had to move it out, he refused to help!

He indicated that the Lint Indicatoe System had to be replaced (cost $163.00). I said OK go for it. Then he said the machine vents to the bottom of the house, not to the rear of the house, I said correct. He said it must be clogged under the house, I reached down the duct - it was clear. He said let's call it a day, I will not charge you. I said no, you are here fix it.
He then reached under the dryer and took out a big wad of lint and said that is your problem. Yep, that was it.

I had to push the machine back while he completed his paper work. The cost
$163.00.

When I complained to the 800# they said it is a flat fee based on the coded problem. I said that nothing was done except removal of the lint by reaching under the machine. The lady said nothing can be done it was written up with a specific code. I do not recommend this company to anyone, be careful!
