On 1/25 I sent in my "HP IPAQ hw6945" handheld PC for warranty repair. On 3/29 I received a replacement unit which was even more defective then my original, and mailed it right back to Cellular One's Warranty department. They received it according to their own records on 4/4. Somehow the unit did not get forwarded to HP until 5/29!
Since then the unit disappeared in kind of a Bermuda Triangle. Nobody at Cellular One seems to care. Repeated phone calls yield no results. I always get told that they would "elevate" the case and a supervisor would contact me. Only once did I receive a call back from a supervisor (?), just to tell me that I am just to damned impacient!!! After about 8 months being deprived of my phone, I am impacient!!! Since then I have called repeatedly with the same effect - nothing is being done!
After I filed a complaint with the FCC, AT&T has made some substantial compensation to my account in consideration of me not being able to use that (expensive) handheld PC/Phone, with the specific understanding that I will still receive my phone back from Cellular One.
Cellular One has since merged with AT&T.
Let me make one thing perfectly clear - Any and all compensations have been made by AT&T even though it wasn't their mess in the first place!
Cellular One's Warranty Department to this date has failed to send me a replacement phone. To this date they just don't give a damn!
