June I switched to Cingular and took my us cellular numbers with me. The next day I notified us cellular that I had swithed companies. I was told I would get a bill for early contract cancellation. I then called Cingular and cancelled the new contract, (buyer's remorse.) I called us cellular back, I was told to come into the office.
I spent the entire day in the office, the associate at us cellular was trying to get my numbers released from Cingular. I then started receiving bills from us cellular for $391.93. I ignored the bills because, I did not drop my service, I was reconected. However, all through June to October, I could not receive calls but, I could call out on the phones.
When I returned us cellular they changed one of my numbers, now I can receive calls and call out. But, I learned that they had put the $391.93 in collection. I disputed the charges, they relented and contacted the collection agency adn had $300.00 removed. They explained the $91.93 was my June payment and because I did not call and question the $391.93 charges, they would leave it in collection.
Now my credit report is marred, and us cellular will not fault themselves. So, I have two accounts with us cellular, which one of them is in collection. I have requested for us cellular to remove the charges from the collection and I will pay them in full, they refuse.
