Ripoff, misled us about hd programming and 2yr contract

We have been customers of Direct TV for 2 1/2 years.in june we decided to upgrade to HD service so we could watch sports, movies, etc in HD. When I called and told them this, no mention was ever made of the fact that CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX were not available in HD! We called the tech service and asked where our channels are, and they sent a technician out to fix the problem. He said we had an equipment problem and "fixed" it. Still no HD on the major networks. Then we called again and finally the confessed that HD programming is not available on the major networks to residents in our area. Almost all of the professional sports are broadcast on those channels and they aren't available in HD in our area! Commercial accounts can get it, though. Since we didn't specifically ask for those channels, it is apparently our fault that the service is not what we thought it would be. Now we are in a two-year contract that we didn't realize we were entering because it was in the fine-print on the work order, and can't switch to another provider without paying a huge fee.
Direct TV does not care about your happiness with their service. Their customer service reps frequently speak heavily accented english and are hard to understand. Read everything thoroughly, so you don't get ripped off like we did. I hate Direct TV and I am going to blast them in every forum I can find.
