This is what I filed with the BBB:
I purchased a 7 year warranty a few years ago from "Scott" at the rvprotection.net company. During our purchase discussions I was told that I would receive a refund when or if I sold the RV and the purchaser did not want to bu the remaining warranty. I purchased the warranty based on this information. I called "Scott" in January08 of this year and advised him that I wanted to cancel my warranty and receive a refund for the remaining amount. He told me what forms to fill out... And I did so. I contacted him again a few months later and he said it would be there soon. I have continued to contact him in reference to the refund and he is now passing the buck. He indicated that they do not do business with the underwriter of the company and that it is more or less out of his hands. The contract he and I signed... Stated that I would get a refund if I canceled the warranty before it was over. I kept my end of the contract and he is not.
Follow Up.
On 2SEP08 I received a threatening phone call phone Scott at rvprotection.net. He called me vulgar names and threatened me... Saying that I should be happy that I do not live closer to him. I am very unimpressed with this company now. I can not believe a member of the BBB would treat customers this way. I have saved the message and have it for your review if needed. I am also contacting the attorney general in this matter. I do not want to do business with a company like this. I simply wanted a refund of what was owed to me... If anything. I indicated this to Scott... And I asked him to let me know if anything was due. Now I get this harassing phone call. Please let me know if any more information is required. I now do not care if I get a refund or not... I just don't want another person to have to go thru this type of harsh treatment.
