Ken Hicks, KH Golf Carts sells golf carts. We had taken our 2003 Golf Cart to be repaired. He quoted us $1,200.00 to replace the electric motor which he said was bad. We decided to replace our golf cart with a new 2008 Golf Cart.
He took the order and promised delivery in 3 weeks. The amount was $7,050.00 plus our 2003 trade-in. The golf cart was delivered aprox 6 weeks later. He knew we were out of town but he delivered the golf cart anyway in our driveway with the keys in it. We were not present to accept the delivery. We later looked over the golf cart and found numerous things not properly done in assembly and according to our purchase order.
The following day we cornered Mr. Hicks and gave him a choice of either following our purchase order or returning our money and 2003 golf cart. The 2008 golf cart was paid in full with our Visa credit card. He chose to refund our money and exchange golf carts. He did exchange the golf carts but never offered to refund our money.
We called Visa Fraud Division and reported our problem. They accepted the case and sometime later refunded our $7,050.00 and dropped additional charges Mr. Hicks had decided to saddle us with which amounted to well over $1,400.00.
