We began building what we thought was an impressive stamp portfolio spending over $25,700.00 first from American Classic Collectibles then they were bought by 21st Century Collectibles. Mr. Robert Reese, the man we dealt with, said he had a buyer if we would only buy this last set of stamps for $4,700.00 (which we later learned that set was only worth $185.00) 21st Century Collectibles did offer to reimbuse the $4,700.00 ONLY if we would send the stamps back first AND sign a waiver that we would not pursue any legal actions against them for the remaining money and we would not say anything negative about them to anyone. Like I said we spent over $25,700.00 for a portfolio that has been appraised at $3,000.00. We are looking for anyone who may have had any dealings with these companies and/or individuals. We have spoke with the US Secret Service, Postmaster General's Office (who has an investigation started), Federal Trade Commission, Las Vegas BBB, Nevada Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Protection, and Consumer Affairs Division; we have mailed out close to 200 letters to the American Stamp Dealers Association and we are in the process of creating our own website.
