Trane Residential Air Conditioning
Misrepresentation, false advertising, exposing me to a unlicensed, not reputable, Trane dealer, possibly with insurance not in force

I was connected to Morey Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling Inc.in the Balboa & Genesee Home Depot as one of their recomended contractors that represent Trane. Jeff Morey tried to to sell me a Goodman system bypassing Home Depot. He said it had better quality and could save me a lot of money.

I did consumer expert and internet checks and found this not to be true. I also found Morey's contractor's license not to be valid. His worker's comp. And liability insurance may not be in force for the unlicensed corporation as well.

From checking BBB records and with the California State License Board Morey is licensed as a Sole Propriator not a corporation as Trane, Home Depot, His Own literature, and the Cailfornia Secretaty Of State, and his Web Site show him to be.

According to the State License Board this makes Morey Inc. A unlicensed contractor and possibly voids his Worker's Comp. And Liability insurance.

I find it uncomprehensible that Trane and Home Depot would subject a consumer to such a situation. This could make his performance bond also unenforceable. This is just not right.
