Scams Employees (i.E., Wages) wage reductions, empty promises, cut-backs, dishonesty, talks down to you, aggression

I have worked for the timeshare company for over a year, and I have not really experienced anything nice to share with anyone regarding it. From the very beginning I was being lied to. When I was first hired I was promised that I could easily make a certain level of commission. After performing the work I realized that no one was making anywhere near that amount (the average was about 50-60% of that amount at the highest). I figured great, an unrealistic number they promise to lure you in.

However, I soon realized that there was a way to pull it off if you're good enough at transitioning your packages in certain ways. They had offered ways to earn commission by getting owners to buy into something a lot more expensive. I apparently was the first in the history of the department to master this transition, and within a few months I was making the promised amount. It blew everyone out of their seats. At one point I was top in the country (in my department at least).

Within a few months, they immediately cut the option after the VP realized how much I was making, and then redesigned the commission structure of the entire department. They claimed it was for the better of the department and everyone would see better numbers.instead we saw nothing but a loss (personally I took a 70% loss in my pay). My loss personally was such a hit; it devastated me (you can't immediately just adjust to such an immediate change).

When complaining about it and explaining that they promised you could make this much; they claimed that the source of commission was just an extra and they were being nice letting us do that. They were full of excuses claiming that we need to focus more on this and that (things that don't pay hardly anything). At one point they even tried to say it was my faultthat I sold too much. I never knew a company would penalize you for doing too good of a job. I even heard someone mention it was because I was drawing too much attention to the department? Because corporate was talking about wanting to send people down to see how we were getting such great numbers? Wouldn't that be a good thing? Sadly, they were very cut-throat about it, and were good at trying to make you feel like (to sell the idea) your just a complainer, that its your fault, and your complaining for no reason.

Ever since then they have done nothing but cut back, each time promising that it's for the better, and that everyone was going to see better paychecks. Since then everyone kept taking a hit. No matter how much we sold, we were pretty much making the same either way. We were making about the same amount of money as a high school student working sales in a small retail store (I was unable to pay my bills). They demanded harder production, and that we be aggressive with our owners (some of these sales people were breaking up marriages just to make a sale). They kept pushing harder and harder. Personally I don't have what it takes to be so aggressive with people (I preferred to be the nice guy, answering questions, giving honest answers), and finally got let go because I wasn't aggressive/productive enough.
