Deception, Lies, LIEneck!

My wife purchased online, waterbed conditioning tablets on or around the 24th of April from waterbedsect.com. The sum of $9.99 was debited from our checking account on the 30th of April. Having not received the product in a normal period of time, my wife called and talked to Peter Lieneck to find out if the product had shipped and was told that the envelope had been sent USPS and was probably not delivered by our PO or we had mistakenly thrown it away.

Peter has been contacted by phone and email a number of times now and has not delivered the product although he claims that according to his records it has been sent twice (and thus lost twice by the P.O.).in the last conversation with Mr. Lieneck on 7/17/08, he agreed to refund the amount that was debited from our account. This refund has not been transacted to date and feel that it will not be as he has demonstrated an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB already. We would be happy if he were to refund the $9.99 paid for the product not received and bring this issue to a close.

The most recent contact by Peter LIEneck is an email I received responding to my note to him again asking for a refund and pointing out his track record with the Better Business Bureau. The following is a copy of the email:

That a business has complaints is not the heart of the matter (all businesses get complaints), it is rather how the complaint is received and resolved. For instance the complaint registered below with the BBB shows that your company failed to resolve or address the complaint issues.

I will give you a break just as soon as you give me a refund. Fair enough?

Remember Pulp Fiction? This sounds like a case of Righteous Indignation to me. It is obvious to me at this point that I am screwed out of any refund. So let this be a warning to internet shoppers: Peter LIEneck is a liar and a thief with no regard for Consumer Rights or the processes in place to moderate and resolve consumer issues.

Please do not spend your money at waterbedsetc.com, Waterbeds Etc., or Waterbed Transfer Service.
