When I first purchased the radio from Radioshack I activated the unit over the phone. I opted for the 2 year package because I didn't want to be hassled with monthly payments. I was never told it was a subscription. 2 years later, with out an email nor permission, they billed my card for another 2 year subscription. On top of the fact that they where not told to do so... They also billed my card at a time when I didn't have sufficient funds. To add insult to injury, for some reason they ran the transaction twice, causing twice the damage. They immediately returned the second transaction but the damage had been done. The account they billed is not even an account I was currently using. It is in the state of N.C. And I do not live there anymore. I keep the account open because I still work out of that state. It was sitting stale with enough money in it to keep it open. I now live in NY.
Because of this issue, my bank is now in the negative and the fines for being over drawn continue to be added to my balance/debt. At this moment it is close to 400.00. We spoke to Sirius time after time and just get a run around. They had asked the bank to fax them a statement and some documentation proving that they where the ones respobsible for this mess. My bank complied and faxed them the docs they asked for. A few days later, I call Sirius to see the status of my case and I was told that my case was closed. They claim that my bank never faxed them anything, therefore closing the case. I have documented everyone I have talked to. Down to names, ID numbers, times, etc... The bank has the confirmation letter from the fax transaction. I am ready to get a lawyer and take this to court. I can not believe the run around I am getting from this company. Can someone help me by pointing me in the right direction. A lawyer to talk to or anything.
