Facing foreclosure without any reason Van Nuys

In I agreed to take the mortgage from Countrywide. During the closing I waived the option for Escrow and I declared that I am going to pay it on my own to city hall-tax office. I did not have any delinquency on my account. At the end of Countrywide enrolled me without my knowledge or permission into Escrow. My monthly payments went from $667.82 to $1200.00. I called tax office several times and I was informed that everything is fine. I called Countrywide multiple times to find out why did they enroll me in escrow but nobody was giving me the answer (or reason). On top of everything, every time I was calling Countrywide I recorded that person's name and extension. The next day when I called back I was informed that such as person did not exist and there was no such as extension (including different supervisors). I faxed million of times, to different Countrywide locations, copy of my checks and slips that I have been paying taxed to city hall on my own, since I purchased the apartment and I was never delayed. City hall was receiving duplication of payments (from me and Countrywide) because Countrywide did not want to stop paying.

I continued to pay my mortgage for amount of $667.82 however Countrywide was returning all my checks saying that the new monthly payment is $1200.00. I was unable to effort paying such as amount and I did not see the reason why I should start paying $1200.00 if I agreed and signed the papers during the closing for fixed rate for $667.82. So, now I am foreclosure and nobody from Countrywide seems like understanding what I am talking about. They hang up the phone on me (most of the time), they put me on hold for 20 min and then the phone gets disconnected and when I call back I have to explain everything from the beginning.

For past two years it is a battle, which I know that without an attorney I am not going to win. I contacted the attorney but his service was too expensive for me. I called Countrywide to find out what is my balance in the account. I was informed that it is $15.000. I was shocked! Both parties agreed that I am going to make a payment (overnight mail) for $10.000 and the rest I will be paying in monthly payments. I was also informed that negotiator would contact me and I would receive a written copy of this agreement via fax. Three weeks later, no negotiator contacted me and Countywide returned my bank check for $10.000. I called them and I found out that I have never had an agreement with them. It is just unbelievable!

I do not know what else I can do. I do not want to loose my property.

Can anyone help???
