Platinum TV and Doug Scott are ripping people off yet again through "Sustainable Planet"

I was contacted by Platinum TV sometime late last year about the possibility of having my company featured on their show "Sustainable Planet" to be aired on ABC Family and Oxygen.

Having just started the company not long before that, it initially sounded like a great opportunity to get some good exposure and possibly create a larger market for our products. How naive I turned out to be.

When Platinum TV told me that a "scheduling fee" of 20,000 dollars was mandatory for the production and standard in the TV business as a way to keep my side of the production up to date with deadlines and materials, I should have hung up. Yet, I believed them and decided to proceed with the impression that they were a legitimate TV production company that was telling the truth.

So, over the early months of this year, I held up my end of the production schedule by submitting logos and images on time and signing off on the script. Completely overloaded with the work it takes to build up a new company, I decided to do a much more thorough check on Platinum TV and Sustainable Planet when it was too late. All the reports of people that had been scammed by them came up, and the productions they had completed for other companies were mediocre to infomercial-like. Moreover, after contacting some of the companies that had gone through with productions, many of them stated that the airing of their segment was taking much longer than expected and was taking place at random hours. Needless to say, there was no mention of a show called "Sustainable Planet" on Oxygen or ABC family.

Upon realizing this, I immediately contacted the CEO at PTV, Doug Scott, to tell him that I was withdrawing my company from the production. He replied to my efforts, informing me that he would do nothing for us and that we had signed an agreement and they were not in breach of anything.

I paid this company 20,000 dollars and got nothing but a lousy script in return. No TV shoot ever took place, no editing, no air time, nothing. I told Mr. Scott that, as a businessman that cares about his customers, I would never keep a person's money if they were unhappy with what I sold them. Mr. Scott's morals, clearly, are somewhere else.

Please look up all the other Ripped Off reports on this company and you'll see for yourself the class of people we're dealing with here. $20,000 was almost all I had to put into this company, and, as stupid as I was to ever consider dealing with these people, there are few worse feelings than finding out you were robbed of almost everything you had.
