One night I was up late at night and saw Alex Trebek advertising a WordSmart word power package with a 30 day trial for $14.95, which to me seemed like a good product. What I found out was when I called that if the package was not returned withing 30 days I would be charged 3 payments of $74.99 for a total of $214.97 plus the trial payment.
When I received the package in about a week I was very uninterested in what they sent because it looked like something that they relabeled and sold at Wal Mart for $4.99 in the bargain bin.
When I returned the package after three weeks I received the package back as being *Refused By The WordSmart Corporation*. Their intent is that anyone attempting or interested in the trial will be stuck with the product no matter what.
When I called their phone support personnel I found them rude and disrespectful and they threatened to sick a collection agency on me and destroy my credit history unless I paid them the remaining balance.
Apparently the warranty on this product expires after the 30 day trial period and after that you are on your own.
After reading usacomplaints. Coms on this company this prompted me to submit a claim. I am very dissapointed by Alex Treebek endorsing this product since I dealt with this company based on the strength of his claims
