Nationwide Home Warrenty Company
This company has false adveristment concerning emergencies. On two occassions I had claims that I had to pay for out of pocket because Nationwide failed to contract people on the weekends for emergencies

I signed up with this company this year with the understanding that I would get good service. I placed two claims with this company and still they haven't been resolved.

First a tenant contacts me on the Friday before five o clock to report the hot water tank is leaking all over the floor. I called Nationwide Home Warranty and they referred me to a local plumber. I waited and finally after hours I called the plumber and they were ready to make an emergency call but had to wait on an approval from Nationwide. I waited until the next day still no answer. I called Nationwide again and was told several times by a representative that someone would get back to me.in the meantime the tenet is calling me reporting that the leak is getting worse and causing floor damage. I finally called a plumber and paid the out of pocket expenses myself. This company advertises that they handle emergencies but in fact the claim department is closed on the weekends.

An answering service takes the claim and they are handled the next business day. When you sign up for the service they don't inform you that the claims department if closed on the weekends.in fact no one followed up with me to determine if the matter was resolved. As a consumer what I am supposed to do.

I called the next business day and was treated very unprofessionally. It been one month and the situation is still not resolved. I had another claim the following 2 weeks concerning no electricity in the home. This too happen on the weekend and Nationwide failed again to get a contractor out. I had another out of pocket expense. I called and spoke with a representative and he got rude and told me" to get another company because your house is old with problems".

I am applauded that I was treated with such disrespect. I called and ask for the cooperate office and was told that they couldn't give out that information. I am calling the state attorney's office to find out what can be done about this company. I checked your site and was shock to see all the complaints. Please after reading this information don't use this company.
