Instead of calling themselves "Blooms Today" or "Flowers Sent Today", they should be called "Flowers Never Sent" or "Blooms Never". Their ad says they "specialize in same-day nationwide delivery". I placed my order at 11 A.M. On 6/13/08 and received a phone call at 5:02 P.M. Stating that my order couldn't be sent today. They offered to send it out first thing the next morning, 6/14. I cut them some slack and said that would be fine.
Five days later, 6/19, I found out that my niece never received the flowers. I call Blooms Today to inquire and the customer service rep, Tammy, looks into it. She finds that the order was indeed not delivered, apoligized and offered me 20% off the order and they would deliver it today (yeah, right). I told her that wasn't good enough. I told her the reason I ordered from Blooms Today was because they "specialize in same-day nationwide delivery" and that I assumed that if they call themselves Blooms Today, that means they send blooms today. Shame on me for assuming. I told Tammy I wanted the order sent free of charge TODAY. She said she'd have to talk with her supervisor and call me back.
Ten minutes later Tammy calls me back and informs me that she is now authorized to give me 40% off my order or a full refund. Again, I told her this wasn't acceptable and that I want the order sent free of charge today. She said that wasn't an option. After a minute of going back and forth with this, I told her to refund my credit card. Then she had the audacity to ask me if there was anything else she could help me with today! I simply stated, "No, never again."
I have since filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, where Flowers Sent Today/Blooms Today has over 100 complaints.
