I'm writing a formal complaint about the dishonest tactics of All Points USA. Like others, I was given a written estimate which equalled $735.00 (included was door to door service, 1 moht free storage, all taxes and tolls, free disassembly and reassembly, 10 book boxes or 2 wardrobe boxes). On the day of my move, May 15, the movers were scheduled to arrive between 2 and 3 pm. They did not arrive until 6 pm. I did not receive a call from the company and when I call them, I was just given the run around that they were on there way.

I had boxes already packed and my clothes. I allowed them to handle my bedroom set, which the bed was already broken down, 1 mirror, 2 televisions, 1 table centerpiece, a 4 piece sectional, which somehow totalled $1971. According to my estimate, I would have to pay 50-75% of the total. I ended up paying 1500.00. I asked who determines who pays 50% and who pays 75%. He couldn't tell me. Basically he couldn't tell me anything but his english was so poor.

My furniture was to arrive in Richmond VA on May 31. From May 17-May 29 I would call the company to address my concerns and really got the run around. No one was ever available. I finally spoke with Ron Smith who informed me that my new balance was now $2090 and $500 had to be sent before I could get my belongings. Mind you the only contract that I had was the estimate provided by Patricia Lugo.

On May 30, I was told that my furniture would be delivered on May 31. I called Patricia to see if I could pay the $500 by check card and the balance when the furniture arrived. It was at this time that I was told that I needed to send them $1200 by wire. After they got their money, I was told that I would get my furniture on June 2 or 3. On the 3rd, still no furniture, my furniture was still in Florida. I received a call from Edmond stating that the furniture would be leaving June 5 and I should receive it by the 7th. I spoke with Patricia on the 7th and my furniture had left that morning and she stated that I should have it by Sunday. I had no furniture and received no phone call on Sunday.

Monday morning, I called and was told that the drivers were in North Carolina and I should receive a call between 2 and 3 pm. I did receive my furniture on this day, but the fact lies in the inconvenience and the ripoff that occurred. I had no clothes, cooking utensils which caused me to eat out daily, and the worst part about it was having to sleep on the floor, mind you that I was in transition for a new job.

I furniture was taken off the truck but the movers who stated that they were with a different company, tried to charge me $75 for taking my furniture upstairs and reassembling my desk and bed (all which should have been included in the money that had already been paid)

I did not receive a copy of my contract, but I did notice upon signature that I was charged $250 for warehouse which should have been FREE and also a charge for services for $120.

I have faxed two letters to this company, with the latter being unanswered.
