Received Damaged product

I ordered a CD from Mele.com and when I recieved it it was damaged. I emailed the company stating the damage and was told that they are not responsible and that I was to contact the United states postal service with the complaint.in hr email back to me it stated that do everything in their power to ensure that the product get to the customer in one peice. Also stating that they "bubblewrap and marking the USPS mailing envelopes with the large red "FRAGILE" stamp. Which in fact was not done on my envelope. When I spoke with another company they informed me that when they send out CD's they do so in a hard box from the USPS with buble wrap as well as mailing peanuts. Not in a Priority Mail Mailing Envelope.
