I had scheduled the move with National Moving Network from Chandler, AZ to Hillsboro, OR on Nov 16 (Saturday) with National Moving Network.
Me and my wife spent the entire Thursday and Friday packing up all my stuff in the house. I went ahead and even ordered disconnection of the basic services in my apt for Monday Nov 18 to be on the safe side.
I had made wonderful vacation plan to visit Los Angeles and San Francisco on my way to Oregon as I was driving my own car.
So according to days explained below:
Nov 16: Originally scehduled move
Nov 15: We are all packed when at about 4pm AZ time I get a phone call from AY Transport saying they cannot make it on Nov 16 (sat) but will be there on Sunday (nov 17: early morning 8am). I did not make much fuss as I did not have much planned.
Nov 16: I make my plans with hotel reservations and everything all set. Expecting them to show up on Sunday (nov 17 morning).
Nov 17: I am all set at 7am hoping that they will come at 8-9am. I just have a few pair of clothes outside in the house. Even have to reach LA by evening since I have a hotel reservation.
No one shows up until 11am and finally I get a call from the driver saying he will not be able to make it.
I was pissed off but could not do anything since National Moving NEtwork and AY Transport offices are closed on weekend. I however leave a message with the companies and asked them to get back to me. I even had to cancel my hotel reservation and ended up paying for a night since I did not show up.
Nov 18: I wake up in the morning at about 8am and give National Moving NEtwork a call. The customer service representative was totally not concerned about what was happening.instead her reply was "I am busy right now and will look into the matter later". And I was like "I am stuck here for last 2 days and you have something more important" give me the number of the other moving company who is going to pick up my stuff and I will talk to them myself.
She happily gave me the number of AY Transport and expected me to look further into the matter. REMINDER: I PLACED MY ORDER WITH NATIONAL MOVING NETWORK AND NOT AY TRANSPORT.
I could not get in touch with the driver and the person in the company said he is going to be there "ANYTIME NOW". This is at 8.30 am.
I got in touch with the driver and he said he will not be able to make it until 1pm. I asked him why and he said "I am doing another job in Phoenix right now." I lost my temper cause I maintained patience for quite a while. They had me wait for 2 days and even after reaching Phoenix they did not show up at my door first.
On lot of shouting and cursing they finally came to my place at about 4pm.
From my experience I would not recommend moving with National Moving Network to anyone.
