Back on May 8, I paid $308 in advance for an installation of a storm door. I spent $150 in gift cards and paid $158 on my Visa card.
On 05/27/08 I took off work for the long-awaited installation, but the installer did not show up and did not call. I called him and left a message, and he did not return my call.
On 05/28/08 I called the Home Depot store #3833 to discuss the problem and was told to call back. Twenty days after my original purchase - weary with unprofessional treatment and poor business practices, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and also filed a dispute against the $158 charge on my Visa card. I also want the $150 from the gift cards so that I can buy a door from someone reliable and reputable and then choose a reliable professional installer to complete the job.
I spent gas money for two trips just to order the door and much of my valuable time dealing with this foolishness. I should be compensated for my time and gasoline in addition to the $308 that Home Depot already owes me.
Today is May 29th, and I still have not heard anything from Home Depot about resolving this.
