I am a freight broker out of Olathe, KS and I contracted this company to haul a load for me out of IA to KS. 1 Week after I was told by the company the load delivered (followed up with a fax of the BOL) I come to find out this load really never delivered and the driver had an accident.
The night the load picked up the driver was on his way down from IA with the load and it was raining very hard, the driver lost control and turned the truck upside down and the highway was littered with Soda Pop. We were not informed of this until a week after the incident... NOT TO MENTION THE INSURANCE COMPANY WAS NOT INFORMED EITHER.
After many man hours I rounded up all the information, talked to the health inspector, police officer on the scene and other miscellaneous people just to get the truth. We filed a claim on their insurance for the amount of the cargo loss and the insurance cut a check approximately 1 month later. Another month has now gone by and the check was apparently sent to Interstate to sign off on and forward to the customer.
As of today the customer still does not have the money owed and the check has been cashed. This is absolute fraud and the only one who may pay for it is ME.
I have contacted several agencies and will pursue this to the fullest extent. This will be the last time they pull the wool over anyone's eyes. I have contacted my attorneys and the police department to file a report.
Their insurance company doesn't even have their right address on file... It goes to some MT warehouse down by the stadiums... But we found their location off of 40 Highway... Some little trailer home in the middle of a field surrounded by old rusty broken down trailers.
Anyhow this Norma lady who owns the place is going to be very sorry... Man I hope she reads this... EVERYONE BEWARE OF THIS SCANDALOUS COMPANY!!!
