Fraudulent Claim

I have repeatedly conversed with progressive in regards to a recent accident in which my car was rear ended. Did I mention that my car was parked at the time? I awoke on Christmas day from a loud knock on the door. I answered to find my neighbor standing in front of me with bad news. "Mr. Tim, i'm sorry to ruin your Christmas but you car has been hit!" I come to my car to find that it had been hit from behind. At this time the police were already on site and questioning the driver who was clearly inebriated. My neighbor, Cindy had witnessed the entire ordeal and contacted the police immediately. Prior to hitting my car the driver had hit a house! Immediately after hitting the house he slammed his car into reverse and then drive and hit my car! He then put it in reverse once more and then drive, and hit my car again!!! I was very upset and demanded justice from police officer as the driver was clearly under the influence of alcohol.in total there were 3 witnesses. For some reason the police decided not to arrest the driver, hell, they didn't even take a report! Baltimore city police are not very helpful... The officer collected the drivers insurance information and gave it to me at which time I attempted to contact the insurance company. Since it was Christmas the office was closed so I contacted them the next day to report my loss. Nonetheless, this started the ordeal with the insurance company.,

Later I learned that the driver told the insurance company that he'd never hit the car in the first place!!! I immediately contacted the local police station to obtain the officers information. I also collected my neighbors information that had initially reported the accident, and whose house was hit by the dirver. I contacted the insurance rep. To relay the information. He came out and took pictures of the car, talked to the witnesses, etc., And told me that he'd have the claim settled by the next week... Well, the next week came and no calls? I decided to contact his manager, Dan McGurk. Dan tells me that he only had one witness on file. And no police officer?!? I was furious, he talked in a very condescending manner as if he had no intentions of awarding my claim. This is obviously an act of fraud on the behalf of the insurance company to prevent them from awarding my claim. They deliberately disregarded, and even denied ever obtaining information that would ultimately decid the award of my claim. Sounds like fraud to me? I told Dan that I would rather come into the office to discuss my claim to avoid the loss of pertinent information. Dan wasn't very happy to hear that and began yelling into the phone?! He insisted that I was the one being hostile. It was then that I demanded the name of Dan's superior. Dan refused to give me the information, infact, his exact words were, "I'm not giving you that fucking information." I was shocked to hear such vulgar language from Dan, and decided to end the call at that time.

I have since placed this complaint and another with Progressive Insurance. Although, with the horrible customer service that I have endured thus far, I doubt that my car will be fixed.
