I took up the offer of "Lifetime Access" for $4.95 with Blazing Ebooks only to find that on receipt of the confirmation that there would be an on going monthly fee of $29.95. Immediately, I sent an email to Blazing Ebooks to cancel my subsctiption. I was told to go to the following link "https://secure. Billingcenteronline.com/customer_support.html" as they had no facility on their website to make a cancellation.
Access the link to billingcenteronline gives a support form which I filled out to cancel the subscription. Also, I got an email from Direct File Access thanking me for reistering, I did not register, it must have been Blazing Ebooks. They gave me a link to authenticate the account which I did not use, I replied to them and said if it was anything to do with Blazing Ebooks that I had cancelled my subscription, this e. Mail was undelivered, the reason "user unknown"
Searches for billingsvc.com reveals NO website.
On checking my credit card online, I find that a charges have been made from Billingsvc.com. The initial fee of USD4.95 has been charged as EUR6.34 which is 5.08 sterling. $4.95 at current exchange rates is approximately 2.50. I also find that the monthly fee has been charged. Again, I do not understand the exchange calculation. $29.95 is being charged at EUR30.65 which is 30.65. $29.95 is approximately 15.00 sterling, so the fee I am being charged is doubled.
I have written back to Blazing Ebooks asking them to instruct their billing agents to refund the full sterling value that I have been charged. But I won't be holding my breath waiting for a reply.
So, if you don't want a hole burt in your bank balance, don't subscribe to Blazing Ebooks!
