We purchased a puppy from Connie Bush in Nov. She claimed the puppy was taken to her vet and he checked out ok. Days later the puppy was take to our vet. Our vet indicated the puppy had a significant heart murmur (grade 4). The cardiologist has confirmed he has a hereditary heart defect. The puppy has a grim future and is not expected to have a normal life span. So far we are $600 into his heart care and he has another echo in 6 months.
Connie was made aware of the findings and she indicated it wasnt serious; after all, even she too has a heart murmur. I would like to know that she took this post to heart and stopped using the same dogs for breading so other puppies will not have to suffer the same bleak prognosis.
Either she had the dog to the vet and failed to disclose the condition or she never took the dog to the vet. Either way, we were not told the truth.
