My local land line phone provider is Frontier. When I became aware of this spurious practice, I was able to recover most of the charges over a six month period. These refunds were in the form of 1) credits to my Frontier account or 2) a check directly from the "bandits. Three days ago, I sent a scathing letter to Frontier with the central theme. "you should be ashamed!"
A copy of the letter was sent to my local Newspaper. No response from either but, now that your website has revealed the scope of this fraud, I will alert the Democrat &Chronicle. Does AARP know of this? Many of us Seniors don't pay much attention to the details on billings and there must be many victims. I do. Thanks for your advocacy.
