I purchased a sectional sofa from the Aarons store in Elgin, Tx. Last year. I purchased the sofa because it was on sale. I agreed to a one year lease, rent to own. My last payment is due this month. I had phoned the store to let them know my payment would be late, due to unexpected illnesses in our family. The day the payment was due, the phoned me. I told them again about making mh payment late. I asked what the total amount due would be, since this would be my last payment. She (the manager) told me that I had another 12 months due. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she stated no one else was in the store. I asked her to fax me a copy of my contract so I could compare it to the one I had at home. Suddenly, someone else was available in the store! They would not fax me a copy, but said there was no signature on the lease, and since I was an excellent customer, they would make my contract for just 12 months! It was for only 12 months to begin with... They have had a total of 6 mangers since I signed the contract, none of them know what the others had done, and they are out to scam you and rip you off. I will never purchase anything from Aarons.
