Ripoff trying to collect payment for a cell phone that has been out of service for 3 months ripoff

June my cell phone ceased to function after about 6 months of service. I contacted WORLDCOM and was given a list of firms that would repair it (Motorola). All the firms I contacted said that they did not repair phones with the model number I had.

I could, they said, send it back to Motorola in Texas for repair but that I was responsible for paying the service whether the cell phone worked or not. I sent the phone to Texas, following the explicit instructions I was given. Later the phone was returned to me with a letter demanding $107 from Motorola before they would repair it. I contacted WORLDCOM and they still maintained that I had to pay for service I hadn't received. I paid 2 bills and then decided to take a stand.

WORLDCOM has informed me that I still owe them for 3 months of non-service. I have pointed out that I have not had any service since June but they said, in effect, tough. Now, WORLDCOM does not even connect clients unless it is to pay a bill. I have watched my 800 shares of WORLDCOM go down the toilet and now this. While they have been busy ripping me off their own controller and other employees has been ripping the company off.
