I began purchasing the Bright Effects energy saving light bulbs in November. I thought this would be a great way to save energy, and ultimately save money, because the packaging states that they last up to 7 years! They are more expensive initially, but would be well worth the cost if they even lasted three years.
Within three weeks the first bulb burned out. I thought that was possibly a defective bulb, individually. However, since then 4 more have already burned out. Effectively lasting less than 2 months!
In addition, one did not work right out of the package. I do not keep receipts normally, and it would not have occurred to me to save a receipt for light bulbs. This brand is falsely advertising its potential life span.
