After being contacted about taking arial shots of our place in North Judson I thought it would be an excellent Christmas gift for my husband in 2006. I am writing now because of Teresa who never got her bowling pictures and filed a complaint.
The name of the firm that came to my home was "L & M Arial".. He said he had taken pictures of Mark Bailey's place and I trusted him. Foolishly I paid him in advance for two framed pictures of our property. The pictures were to come along in two months. Well before Christmas.
Right after he left I noticed the receipt he gave me was not professional looking, like something you would use in a restaurant to take an order. I asked him to write his address on the slip! And it was a PO box. Right after he got the check he left. I was so uncomfortable I called Mark Bailey and he remembered him and said he did a good job.
Too much time went by and I telephoned and like Teresa was referred to another 317 number which was a cell phone. I sent two registered return receipt letters which he ignored. Finally I got one of the two picture, was promised the second the following week. Not only was the first terrible... The second never arrived...$280.00 gone! I just felt I had really learned a BIG lesson. He was so very unprofessional. If it walks and quacks like a duck. It is!
Here is the kicker... Someone solicited us just two weeks ago with the second picture... He said he had just taken it but we could tell that it was and older arial shot! It had been a year... But I believe it was the same man. Red car. Nervous... We told him no sale and he came back within an hour with a reduced price...
I would never have anything like this done without researching the company. I hope someone can benefit... And Teresa sees that there are scam artists who are taking advantage of more than one of us.
