It was sept. 2001 when i went to circuit city to get a sprint cellphone, i was in college. When i got the phone they to me that i had a $125 credit or spending limit and if i went over the phone service would be suspended. So within the next 10 months they suspended my service 9 times for various reasons. Once they told me that i was using my minutes too fast so the computer turned my phone off because i would probably go over the next weekday, but it was Friday night.
Another time they said that i had been billed in advance one month that was why i went over my limit. And another time i checked to see why my phone was off because i was only at $115, so when i called they immediately said that i was over. Then i said no i wasnt i was only at $115, then they told me that the computer did it and they cant change it without a payment of at least 20%.
But my problem is that when aug came i called to check my bill and they told me it was 300 and something dollars and i said how is that when i cant go over $125 they said they didnt know and i had to pay it, and i said you had better turn it off because i dont have it. Then he said we put it in for it to be suspended this morning. Then i said again how did it go over $125 and he said i dont know but you used the phone didnt you, now you gotta pay for it.
But the didnt go off that day or that month it was still on. It went off maybe a month and a half later. Then in 2004 i get a letter in the mail saying i owe over $2000. So i called and offered to pay the 125 plus the early termination fee and they said no and i said that is all i will give you because we had a contract for $125. And now at the end of 2007 they put it on my credit report as owed from 2004 when i havent had a phone since 2002.
