My suggestion to anyone who reads this is not to go in for Reliance relocation. They do not have their won transporting agency, they are just brokers, who kick your ass when they have their money. If you want to read my experince, please go through this.
Based on various quotes that I looked for, Reliance relocation gave me the cheapest quote for my car and household items. I checked the internet and realzied that there was nothing wrong in the company, so I went ahead and paid the advance for the pick up. It was all well till then, until the time came for the pick. One day before the pickup, i got a call from their despatcher ASI and he told me that my items are more than 1500 pounds, which was a part of the quote. I am a guy who does not live in The US, and has minimal stuff, and the total weight of my items is not more than 800 pounds, despite that he told me that I have to pay more, I told the despatched ASI that this is a quote that i have received from the sales department, to which he said that he is the owner of the company, and he is the one who decides the cost and that I have to deal with him and agree to his conditions if I wanted to items to be picked up. All this while he was so rude and abusive to me.
I told him of my earlier experience with hercules vanlines that they did not charge me a penny more for the same stuff, he told me to go to hercules vanlines and not to talk to him. If I want the stuff to be picked up, i have to do what he says.
My wife is pregnant and both of us were under extreme mental stress, becuase i could not go in for another vendor as i had to leave for my destination in Longmont the next day, and Asi knew it. I tried to convince him over the phone in discussions that lasted several hours. Finally, he hung up the phone on me after a lot of heated discussions and told me that he would not pick up my stuff. I had enough of them at that point in time and asked return of my money. That went to deaf ears. I created noise and their owner Josh had to intervene and tried to calm me and told me that they would pick up stuff the next day, and also my car.
We were so tense that night, becuase i knew that hell was coming, and i could not do anything about it. Meantime i called up the sales department and told them that the despatcher is forcing me to pay more than agreed. They told me that they cannot do anything about it and that I have to deal with the despatcher from now on. Here I would like to state that their desptacher Asi is the rudest, most unprofessional, highly customer uncentric and the meanest guy on this planet.
Next morning the pick up guys turned up and the moment their lead guy came in he started shouting at me and my wife, that he cannot do this job in the said amount, and that I had cheated the sales department.in my house he called me a liar, a cheat, shouted at me, and forced me to sing on papers which said that the packaging was itself worth $170. Whereas they did not use even what was a part of the deal of $75. I was told that if i did not sign they would not pick up the luggage. I felt like a dog in my own house. They put all items in the truck without my verification and told me to sign on so many papers, I felt like calling 911, but held back, because of my pregnant wife to whom i did not want to give more stress. The guys left after that
They were scheduled to pick up my car and asked me to pay full amount, which i did over the internet. They did not show up that day, and i had to leave my car at my friends place, they promised me to pick up car in the next 2 days but the picked up only about 10 days later, and that too after begging after them.
5 days later i got a call from one ALL Inclusive company that my stuff was with them, and that I had to pay them $1500 if I wanted my stuff. I tried to convince them of the quote and they told me that whatever may be the logic, they will not deliver for anything less than $1500.
I fianlly agreed for paying $1350 and then they transported the stuff. I got the stuff 10 days later, and they charged me an additonal $50. When i got all the stuff, i relaized that one box was missing. I called the driver and told him about the missing box, He told me he will look for it, but hasnt called back till now.
In a nutshell, this was the most stressful, abusive, humiliating, cheated expereince of mine in the US. My suggestion to anyone who reads this is not to go in for Reliance relocation. They do not have their won transporting agenbcy, they are just brokers, who kick your a* when they have theor money
