Reliance Relocation, By far the worst move of my life! Jersey City, New Jersey

Let me just start off by saying I must be really upset to right about something. Upset is not even the word when talking about Reliance Relocation. I moved to Atlanta in Feb but I could not bring my stuff there at the time. So I left it in Victor, New York because I still had a house there I could store it in.

Fast Forward to May when I was finally able to move my stuff down to Atlanta. I started looking for moving companies after I looked into getting an uhual and I figured it could be just as cheap if not cheaper to hire a moving company. I found a website that you put your info about what, when, and where you need to move.

The next day I received tons of calls from different moving companies and there various quotes. They all seemed to be more on the pricey side and I just figured it was the norm. Until I received a call from a company named Reliance Relocation. They seemed very helpful, and eager to help. I was a little thrown of by the price of 950 for my move but I didn't have a ton of stuff. They said the would give me a weight limit of 1500 lbs and that he would actually give me up to 2000 lbs in case I went over. I agreed with the price and hired them on as my movers. I then paid a deposit of 190 dollars firm up the move. They also said it would be delivered 2-3 business days.

I flew out to Victor the night before the move because they assured me they would be there at 10:30 am ready to pick up my stuff. So here I am packing all night from 11:30pm until 5am the back packing at 7am to make sure all they had to do was pick up my items and wrap or box up some items. 10 o'clock comes around and I hear nothing. 10:35 comes around still nothing. I usually give everyone an hour leeway but still I hear nothing from them. I then decided to give them a call at 11:30 and no one knew what to tell me.

After that I mysteriously get a call from the driver and the dispatcher saying that another job they got turned into a larger job and that they would be there that evening. They get to my place around for 4:30 and this is when all hell started to break loose. The driver (Gilad) said I had more items that he had on his list. I asked to see the list and they had microwaves, only 9 boxes and some other items that I didn't tell them I had. They driver said its ok as long as I don't go over and that he would help me out. He agreed to pack my artwork and other items using boxes that I had. What I didn't have they would charge me for. It came out to be 300 dollars on top of the 790 that I owed after the deposit. So I was more than fine paying the total of 1,090.

I fly back to Atlanta and I'm so excited to receive my stuff. This is when the nightmare begins. 3 days later I still have not received a call about when my delivery would be or how much my final cost would be in case I went over. I called Agi who happens to be the manager. He said that there was no way they said that my stuff would be here in 2-3days because my move was so small. He said that the truck would leave that day or the next and he would get back to me on my total cost.

Fast forward to another day or so still nothing. I call back to speak to Agi and my truck still has not been dispatched. At this point I am highly upset because everything they have told me has been changed. I inform Agi about my displeasures and when I say he was the rudest man I have ever talked to that would just be putting it nicely. He was so combative and verbally abusive. He was not helpful what so ever. He said it was his company and if I did not like it there is nothing I could really do. He proceeded to tell me that I went over my weight limit of 1500 pounds and that I would have to pay extra for any lbs over. I was so upset that they just price jacked me. He said he would give me 100 $ off for my confusion on my delivery time. I can't believe he said for my confusion.

I get off the phone and wait a day or two and still nothing. I called back daily and he says he will get back to me and never does. He says that it's in transit and they will call me when they are on there way. I ask him to pinpoint when and he always says he will call me back and I never hear anything back. It's going on 8 days and I have still not heard anything. At this point I am at wit's end because I can't afford to take anymore days off and I just want my stuff. Everyone at that company is a Liar and it all starts with Agi and trickles down to his workers. Don't trust them. I still have not received my stuff and I am not sure if I will ever get my stuff. I have no reason to be optimistic.

I am thinking about getting the police involved and calling the better business bureau on these guys. I have never felt so violated in my life and they still have all my life long treasures in there possession. If I can give any advice all I can say is please don't use them. Pay the extra money and hire someone that can provide you with customer care or at lease a callback when they say the will. Thanks for listening to be rant but this is something that everyone should know.
