I want to let everybody know what this company are doing with me.
On Thursday 20, a representative from Signtronix Company came into my business around 6:30 p. M of that day, I close my business at 7:00 p. M, He start asking me about my business, when I start, what services do I offer, who is the owner, how many partner do I have, etc. A lot of question, before he presented me this sign and several reasons why one of their signs would make me tons of money by providing an increase in customer traffic. He start explain me all the benefit that the sign will bring me to my business a least more that 30% business increase, after 2 hours presentation, he said that others company the retail price is around $12,000.00 dollars and you have to giving a deposit of half of the cost $6000.00, but with his company he will make affordable to me under a Main Street Program that the company have, where they cover part of the cost of the sign if I compromise with them to give a reference letter and other stuff. I immediately let him know that I am a very new small business and that I couldn't afford that type of sign that he was selling. After 2 hours of his incessant nagging about to buy this sign. Also he told me that he would give me his personal guarantee that the sign will bring more business, if in a month I don't see the results he will break the contract, and give me my money back, but everything was by mouth nothing was on paper. At this point I was tired and ready to go home with my babies and pretty much he looks that wouldn't leave until I signed the contract. I let him call the leasing company to see if they would approve me. After all that, he told me I couldn't even think about his offer, because it is a great opportunity and he is the only one who can give me those prices, so I have to decide today or forget it, he even let me consult with my husband and that was my big mistake. He did some math and told me that I have to give him a deposit of $743.00, I told him if I can pay with credit card, and looks like he didn't like it, but hi take it anyway, and I sign the contract and he left the office with the promise that he will come back to choose the design.
So here start my nightmare After I spoke with my husband that night, he said that I am a new business and it is very expensive sign that I can't afford it in this moment. So I was thinking the whole night about this. The first thing that I did next morning when I open my business a 10:00 A.M. Was to try to reach this salesperson, but he didn't give me his contact information, so I call the company phone number and explain to some one that I need to contact him if they can give me his number, she told me that she can't give me that information, so I wait for him. He came to my office around 1:30 p. M on Friday 21, I told him that I don't want the sign anymore, even I know that I can lost the $743.00 deposit that I gave him last night, and explain him the problem that I had with my husband, he start telling me constantly again the same thing that he told me before, he also called someone at the company to try to convince me why should I have to buy this sign and also he put me in a situation like if I am the owner, I should take my own decisions. I explain him that my husband even he it's not in the company incorporation he takes decision too, but he was so incessant, and looks like he wouldn't live my office until I take the sign, after 4 hours, I told him that I going to take just one sign and ask him how much it cost me, but he said that he really wants me to take both signs because that will bring more visibility to my business. I told him that I can't afford both signs, and also I don't want a lease, because I don't want to pay more money for that sign, I calculate that if I take the lease I will paid around $6,000.00 for the sign, so I decide to paid the full price with credit card, and he told me if I paid with credit card it might takes more time to process, so the sign will be arriving within 4 or 6 weeks. He starts calling the company (obvious another phone number because he got immediately assistance) and explain to his boss everything. So I gave him both credit cards and they take all my information. He left my office around 4:00 p. M, but I wasn't sure if it was a good purchase because all the things that happens and his incessant nagging to buy this sign. I felt like he was putting to much pressure on me, and also I was busy with clients in that moment.
On Saturday 22 I was trying to call the company but I didn't get nobody, I got transferred to a voicemail, I didn't left a message, because maybe they don't work on Saturdays.
So Monday 24 I call the company again around 10:30 am, and I didn't get any response, I got transferred a voicemail and this time I left a voice message stating that I want to cancel my order, if they can call me back and left my cell phone number. Around 1:25 p. M the same day someone call me and told me that they can't cancel my order because has been process and they can't do anything about it. I told her why if has been just one business day they can't cancel my order and even it wasn't a custom sign, she was like she didn't care and hang up on me. So in that moment I feel like a has been rip off for this company. I started calling the salesperson and I got his voicemail, but a few minutes later he call me back, I explain him the situation and he just told me that it is his first time that this happen to him, but hi will find out what he can do. After an hour he call me back and told me the same thing, that the order has been process and they can't do anything about it, I told him why if the order was place on Friday and it wasn't a custom sign, has to be a way that they can cancel that order, because I'm 100% sure that those signs are in stock and why he told me that takes 4 or 6 weeks to delivery it, and why they process so quickly and takes so long to get it, look suspicious, but he said that he tried everything that he can do and hang up on me.
I started getting pissed off, for this situation, I don't doubt that the sign will probably help my business, but is the way that I was treat it, like they just care to take my money away. So I start searching in the internet about this company and found out that it is no just me that has been rip off from this company a lot people has the same issue with this company, but the difference is that I didn't sign a Lease, because I paid in full price with my credit cards.
So my next step was to call all my credit cards and explain the situation and put those transactions in dispute. I called again to the company, as always I got transferred to a voicemail and left the message, saying that I dont want the order, please don't send it to me and I let them know that I put in dispute this transactions.
On Tuesday 25 around 11:01 A.M., I got a phone call from them telling me that my order has been shipped, I told her that I left a voice message on Monday stating that I don't want the sign and also that I put in dispute with the credit cards, and she just tell me that she call me to let me know that they sent it already. She didn't care if I put the dispute. Looks like they are usually has this type of problems before.
I was analyzing this situation and after review all the different issue that another people have with this company, why company like that still in business, with Sales Representative in all states selling this signs and lying and giving you false information just to get you signature and you money?
Obviously this is a scam company, even they send you the sign, is the way of they process that it is in judgment.
Why if the sell representative told me that I will receive the sign within 4 or 6 weeks, and after I express my decision to cancel the order they sent it the next day and I should received in 5 business day?
Also in the sales agreement the Representative mislead the information instead to put that I paid in full price for the sign, he put like I give him a deposit when I didn't, because I paid everything, maybe he thought that I could cancel this order, and put it that way to take advantage anyway, has their contract said that the deposit it is not refundable.
Now I get responded from the credit cards and they are charging me anyway, because the company excuse are that I gave them a deposit and it is in the contract that said that it is not refundable, now I am paying a $3,650.00 for a sign that I paid in full price. I didn't sign any contract with them just the sales agreement. Even I don't have the sign with me, so they have my money and the sign.
I am not going to let this company to still my money that easy... If someone have any advise please feel free to post it.
