We used Lease FInance Group for our HVAC business. All we rented from them was the card imprinter. No electronics. When we sold our business, we canceled the account.
I called and called to find out where to send the equipment back to. Every time I called, I was asked to put in our account number which after I did, I was disconnected. I called it on 3 different phones just to make sure it wasn't on my end. Long story short, we kept getting charged for this stupid card imprinter because I could never get anyone to tell me where to send it back to.
I have not paid the bill, which is only around $180. However, I get 20 phone calls a day from a recording and a threatening letter every other day telling me I need to call immediately that my credit is in jeopardy if I don't pay the balance. So I call and like before as soon as I put my account number in it cut me off.
So, I decided to call and put in my account number with one number different and SURPRISE I was connected to someone. I am furious at this point. THEN they proceed to tell me that they cannot discuss the account with me that only my husband is on the account. I lose it at this point telling the woman that I need to send this thing back, she gave me the address, but like the other man who had problems with them, she had to FAX the payment information, no over the phone.
What really irritates me the most, is that my account number triggered their system to hang up on me. They call all day long (a recording does the calling) and tell me to call to resolve the matter and then knowingly do not allow my call to go through to a person.
I am sending the equipment back today but I am NOT paying this bill. I feel helpless. The only way I can get their persistent calls and letters to stop is to pay this past due balance. I know it is only $180 but I just refuse to let these crooks win. I have disconnected the business line but my husband says he gets atleast 10 call a day. Not sure what else to do.
