I was searching for a new cell phone when I came across a web page called cell phone tradeins. I had two cell phones so I entered my information about each phone. One of the phones was in almost perfect shape and they said they would give $24.20 for that phone which sounded fair, the other phone had a few deep scratches in it so they said they would pay $10.32 for that one which I thought was fair. They even let you print off a shipping label which was very nice I thought.
Sounds to good to be true HUH! Thats because it is!!! Today I recieved an email informing me they had recieved the phones and inspected them. They say all they will pay is $24.20 for the one phone and I would receive nothing for the other phone because it has water damage. I bought that phone new and it has never been near water, so how is there water damage? The fact of the matter is there is no water damage and if I do receive the check for $24.20 I will be shocked. They have my phone so how can I dispute it? CAN'T! And if I tell them to send it back I will have to pay shipping charges which is not worth it and who is to say they won't dip it in water, it's already clear they are a liars.
Just chalk it up to another lesson learned, and wanted to let everybody else know it is to good to be true.
