This company never provided or made me aware of "your rights and respondsibilities" pamphlet, nor did the provide written description of the complaint or inquiry process or the availability of neutral arbitration process. Was not provided with weight info or weight ticket. Driver refused to give me a copy, i "took" the copy from him as my proof of overcharge by 300 lbs which amtd to $242 per verbal and written estimate agreement. And was not provided copy of bill of lading until delivery. Was not provided an order of service. A guaranteed pickup date was on 7/20/07 and the guaranteed delivery date on 7/26/07 was delayed a wk until 8/2 at midnight with "1" mover. Was also overcharged for $150 for boxes which were unnecessary and i refused. Carrier damaged my household goods including furniture, entire fragile marked boxes that had been dropped and tumbled, the delay of a wk caused 12 plants that i had for 10 to 20 yrs to die, an entire large personal box missing all together that consisted of medications, cosmetics, every personal toiletrie, hair, grooming, personal appliances, makeup, facial products, lotions, etc etc etc that was valued well over $1000, broken and missing tops to 4' trophys, the carrier also broke his agreement to put everythig back together and such as couches were left in the middle of a room on its side, boxes were all piled on top of eachother in 1 room (boxes all labeled with the correct room and marked fragile were actually upside down on the bottom of the piles.) empty cigarette packs, soda cans, llight bulbs and other gabage was thrown in my plant bins. This company was completely unprofessional from point a to z. The driver who delivered actually bragged how they close up and reopen under different names over again, that if i wanted to sue i had better have a lot of money because the owner does not care whatsoever which has proved to be true as i have called him over again about the delay, on a daily basis i was told call back over and over as well as the actual weight, again never told until i saw the ticket myself upon delivery, and regarding my damaged items and especially my missing box, he never caled back, i called day after day and was hung up on, told to call claims not to bother him. This has been the most stressful worst experience i have ever dealt with. A company like this does not belong in business. I have been so violated and am still trying to recover. I thought i had done my homework taking 3 wks to pick a company that was honest. The supposed coowner named liola was so sweet and gracious, but as soon as i hired them she has not been available once. Also, this carrier owner named gillie did say he would send a check for the overcharge of weight out right away, that was over 2 weeks ago. I have filed a claim, the responce was AN OFFER OF $441. Based on the. 60LB wt ins. No mention of my overcharges and it says if i agree i cannot seek any other claims. That is very unclear to me. Am i going to get taken for another ride by the ins now?
