Direct Circulation
Students trying to go abroad scam. Ripoff

My experience was no different from the others listed. After a few months of waiting for my magazine, I got a letter saying that my selection was not available anymore. I was asked to pick from a list of available selections, each one of which can be subscribed to directly for less than half of what DCI charges!

Phone calls to them, regardless of what option selected (whether to change an address, modify a subcription, cancel etc.) goes to voicemail.

If there is a class action suit against this company, I would like to participate.

Since this scam involves kids (knowing or unknowing of the scam), one way to make them feel personally involved, I suggest that you ask them for their Drivers License and note their name, address, license number, date of birth. Then lets see if some scruples appear. (Sadly, I didn't do it - I thought of it later).

Sadly, through the pitch there was no mention of DCI/Direct Circulation, so I wasn't able to look it up on the web before issuing my check.
