Beware of the door to door scam...
In July of I had a student named Kevin, at least that's what he said his name was, come to the door selling magazines to help him take a school trip to Europe. He gave me a song and dance about sending me a post card from his trip, how appreciative he and his family are for the help... If your reading this, you know the rest.
Foolishly, I ordered a couple of magazines, and to date I have received nothing. I tried to contact the company by phone on several occasions, and every time a recording told me everyone is busy and that the message box is too full to leave a message. After the second call if was clear that this company is a scam. I pretty much knew this when the company didn't have an 800 number for customer service.
I have also tried to send several e-mails, however the e-mail addresses listed are no good.
I'm angry about being taken advantage of, but I'm really angry at myself for falling into this scam.
Never again.
