US Vanlines of Texas breaks FMCSA rules and does NOT ensure delivery of goods

I contracted with US Vanlines of texas to move my automobiles and household goods. They stated that they were a "meet or beat" shipper.

Over the course of shopping for movers, I called them several times to get estimates. The sales person, Emily G, promptly provided me with updated estimates.

I finally found an old moving invoice from a prior move with a National Company and relayed that information to the sales person; listing large items, beds, mattresses, statues and giving her a list of boxes that were used in the last move. I thought that this would be sufficient since this was a partial move; it would be better to over estimate than under estimate.in my email to Emily, I clearly state that this is an updated item list with the boxes that would be needed and that she needed to provide me with the estimated cost including materials and services. She did so, and sent me a form to fill out in order to have the deposit charged to my credit card. She also sent me a contract. I called her about the contract which stated that the final payment had to be in cash or money order. After talking with her, she said that it would be OK to have payment in full by my Visa Card. I amended the contract to reflect this, faxed it to them and faxed them the credit card authorization for the deposit.

The mover did not show up on the stated day and I called US Vanlines of TX, who told me the original driver had a breakdown and that my new driver would be William.

William called and asked me about my move.in response to the item list (not inventory list) that I had relayed to US Vanlines of Texas, he said that he was only told that 45 medium boxes would be packed. I told him that I have emails proving otherwise and he said that he would go get extra boxes to fit my needs.

— My issues with William Rivera of Homeland Transportation & Delivery, LLC is another complaint so you can look that up in addition to this one —

After the items were loaded on the truck, I was not provided with a bill of ladening, written inventory list or copy of the extra insurance that I purchased. The driver left (drove off) while I was checking to see if all items had been loaded on the truck.

I called US Vanlines of Texas to make them aware of that in addition to no one calling me about picking up my automobiles. When they heard that no one had come to get my vehicles, the woman on the phone stated "Oh, I'd better get right on that". I was told to stay by the phone in order to get the phone call. I had a flight to catch in order to get to El Paso and close on my new house (US vanlines of texas was fully aware of this). No one called for the longest time. This is what transpired: 1. I missed my flight to El Paso due to waiting for someone to call me about picking up my cars and I had to rebook at an additional cost of $450.00 2. When someone did call, the price for the car move increased by several hundred dollars. 3. The car mover did not accept the payment terms in the contract I made with US Vanlines of Texas. I decided to find my own movers and listed it elsewhere.

US Vanlines of Texas did not give me a partial refund due to them not handling my car move. They are directly responsible for me missing my flight and the additional cost incurred to rebook.

In dealing with the mover of my household goods, they have not held up to the terms of their contract to represent me in dealing with that mover. They have not responded to my emails or returned my phone calls requesting assistance.

I have later found out that US Vanlines of Texas subcontracted to a company they own, R&S Relocation and Storage to handle my household move. R&S Relocation and Storage (relocationandstorage.com) then subcontracted to Mr. William Rivera of Homeland Transportation & Delivery, LLC to handle the move.

At the moment, I have no household goods, the driver does not respond to emails and when calling his cell, I am hung up on. Further US Vanlines of Texas will not assist me with dealing with this driver.

Can someone with a law degree please help me with this??? I have the full email trail and my notes on this whole mess, and I just want my items back undamaged and intact.
