AAA Vanlines/Eilid Moving and Storage
Aaa vanlines / eilid moving & storage rip-off move from hell

When you get scammed or ripped off, you feel completely alone. You feel like no one else ever has things like this happen to them. I found this site and realized that I am not the only one... And I am not the only one who was ripped off by AAA Vanlines (FL) and Eilid moving and storage (NY)!

I hired AAA Vanlines to move one room of my household furniture/boxes from Phoenix, AZ to Chicago, Il. I got a pretty competitive quote and found them to be in good standing with the Better Business Bureau and Moving/Transportation Depts. Here's what happened:
1. The men showed up 1 day late for which I was promised some type of rate break or compensation: I WAS NOT.
2. The men identified themselved as "your movers". I had no clue AAA Vanlines hired this other TERRIBLY RATED company: Eilid Moving and Storage to move my things.

3. I was told the truck would be weighed before and after pick-up to guarantee the rate. If my things were over, or under weight, the price would be adjusted accordingly: IT WAS NOT EVER WEIGHED.

4. The driver made me sign a blank document before he would load my things, so I wrote next to my name as I signed: "signed blank document". The folded-up stack of carbons he left with me as he drove away didn't have a readable price.

5. AAA Vanlines would not return my calls or could verify what the price was when I called them immediately. This happened for the next 4 days as I drove across country trying to get an answer from both sets of 800#'s I had. Then I began to put it together that I may be dealing with a different set of movers all together.

6. The day that the driver was coming to drop the things off in Chicago, the movers said that I took double the size from what I originally quoted and needed to be charged for this: I DID NOT TAKE DOUBLE, I TOOK LESS! They said I went over size now, and that the truck was never weighed so it didn't matter about poundage. I even measured the boxes and items one by one as they were unloaded from the truck to document the size: IT WAS LESS.
7. The delivery day the movers demanded over double my quote (in cash) or they would hold my things and charge me double again to bring them back from NY.

8. I was stuck in a hard place with no where to go. I had to cash advance a high-interest credit card and pay these guys with tears in my eyes.

9. Amy, the manager at one of the two 800 #'s I had, would not talk this out or let the men open the truck with me on the phone to verify that my things were over the quoted size until I HANDED OVER THE CASH. Then she promised me that if they opened the truck and my things were as I claimed, I would be given back the money that I was overcharged: THE DRIVER WAS TOLD NOT TO GIVE ME ANY MONEY BACK NO MATTER WHAT.

10. My papers from small claims came back "unable to serve" at any of AAA Vanlines' addresses in Miami, FL.

I will not stop until i am satisfied and recompensated. What do i do now?

Please help!
