Dear Sir:
I wrote several NSF checks that went to Certergy payment Recovery Services. Several were around April. I made all of these checks good by either using my visa/mastercard or having the check run back through, or by a money order. All of these checks were paid and I was finally able to write checks again. Then in November I had written another NSF and it went to Certergy payment Recovery. Then 2 months later I receive a letter in the mail that the check I wrote in April was reversed. One person told me it was a money order, someone else said they used the money order to pay another check. Long story short I requested them to provide me w/a copy of what and how it was reversed. They were never able to tell me this. I didn't want the check to go out to an attorney, so I am currently paying for a check that is a year old that i know i paid. I can't find proof because it has been so long ago, I found on my credit card statement a payment which could possibly be the check. No one will take the time to see if this is in fact the check I paid. All they can tell me is I owe for this check. I am a debt collector myself and feel they should have to show me a copy exactly who reversed it and why. I know nothing was reversed. I checked all my credit cards, and called my bank and they wrote a letter in writing stating that a check was never reversed. I get a different story everytime I call.
