We bought an english bulldog puppy from HAPPINESS IS PETS about two months ago and she was sick with diareah the day we bought her. The store employees said the diareah was caused from being stressed out in the cage. We took the puppy to the vet for our free check-up and they said that she probably just has a sensitive stomach, so we bought a bag of 'sensitive stomach' food, but that didn't help. We have been to the vet every week since we bought our puppy. The vet has done x-rays, barium tests, and even an exploratory surgery on our dog. During the surgery they found hard pieces of plastic backed up in her intestines, which she obviously ate prior to us buying her. The vet said that the tests confirmed that the plastic was indeed the cause of our bulldog's diareah. Two days after picking her up from her 3 day vet stay, our puppy was vomiting and having diareah, again. What is going on? Our poor little bully has spent more time at the vet than she has at our home. This is ridiculous and needs to be stopped. Our bulldog came from the puppy mill breeder Steve Kruse in West Point, IA. This is who Happiness is Pets gets their dogs from. Steve Kruse has had multiple investigations against him for overcrowding, rusted cages, and blood on walls. I've seen pics from the investigations and a video, and they make me sick to see what these poor defenseless animals are going through before they are sold to Happiness is Pets. How can this pet store get away with selling dogs to people that they know are sick?
