Owners or future owners of Bulldog puppies purchased from Happines Is Pets, Inc. Should know that the English Bulldog I purchased from Happiness Is Pets, Inc. Is not AKC registered, inadequately documented, and in poor health. As a result, my puppy's health care expenses are soaring.
To illustrate, my English Bulldog puppy @ 6 months old has been diagnosed with Demodectic mange, pinched nostrils, elongated palate, massive underbite, and cherry eye (surgically corrected prior to purchase). The cost to correct my puppy's pinched nostrils alone will cost between $2,000-$3,000.
Steve Kruse, the breeder, cannont be reached for comment because he exists only on poorly written paperwork. This leads me to believe Steve Kruse may be a commercial puppy mill operator in the state of Iowa. Surely he is not a small, private breeder savy of the responsible breeding practices of English Bulldogs. My investigation will continue.
One word of advice to potential customers: RESEARCH THE BREED OF YOUR CHOICE BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO PURCHASE!!!
