I ordered a picture to be painted from a photo of my infant son. I got an email confirming reciept of payment of $119 and reciept of my order, and instructions to send the picture by email. That was all in the same day of the order.
I never heard anything back after I sent the picture, and I thought that was odd. I began sending emails and calling, but only ever got a "this mailbox full" message, saying I could not leave a message. They never responded to my emails or faxes.
Their website was still up, so I didn't know what had happened, and I really really wanted this painting for my husbands first Father's Day. Almost a month past and I hadn't even recieved confirmation of them receiving the photo, let alone the proof they had promised within a week, so I filed a complaint with my bank for a refund of the money.
Money isn't even the issue. These people were dealing with personal photos into paintings, so these were sentimental purchases, and they let me down. Now their website is down. If they were going out of business, they should have stopped taking orders, or sent out emails and refunds when they could.
Now my husbands gift wasn't nearly as personal and sentimental as it could have been if this company did what they promised.
