Oh My where do I begin.
I called Amy/Lanie Veal regarding a Cock a poo she had for sale.; A friend of mine had bought another one out of a different litter some time ago and I am just in love with her little "Baby" and I just had to have one. So I call Amy and she mentions that she has a litter ready to go.
So I agreed to purchase one female Cockapoo from her. I sent her $700 for the puppy and even paid $250 for shipping. I am in Birmingham Al and Amy is in Milledgeville GA but I did not want to drive the distance.
When I went to the airport to pick up my puppy I got a big surprise. The puppy's shipping bill had not been paid so I paid it and got my puppy to the car. The poor thing was so sick she was covered in her own vomit and diarrhea. She just smelled awful. Mind you this was not a 4 hour plan trip this was a 30 minute flight. So I get her home and I clean her up and notice there is blood in the diarrhea.
So I call my vet and she said that it could be due to stress so I should watch her or I could bring her in. So I decided to take her in. I got her to the vet and as soon as the vet walked in the room she said it smelled like she had parvo. She said she wanted to do a parvo test with a fecal sample to be sure. I agreed. The news was not good. She had parvo, tape worms (caused by fleas) and on top of all that my poor baby had kennel cough. She was very ill. I let the vet keep her. They put her on iv fluids. I
I went home in tears, very broken hearted. I had not had this puppy long and it looked as though I would loose her. My husband came home from work and had a fit that my brand new puppy was fighting for her life. He was also irate about the shipping I had to pay for twice. He tried to call Amy/Lanie and this is when this get really weird. She answered the phone and she told him that Amy was at work. He asked for a return call and as soon as he hung up the phone I knew something was weird because "Amy" told me that she had cancer and was on therapy treatments to try to kill the cancer.
I had to wait an extra few days to have my puppy shipped because she had a treatment. So getting a little annoyed thinking about the situation, I call her. Amy answers the phone. I said "Amy"? She said no this is Lanie, Amy is at work. I some what explained the situation and this "Lanie" (keep in mind I spoke with Amy a couple of times and knew this is who I was talking with). Any how this Lanie tries to tell me that she knows Amy will fix the problem and she will call me when she gets home. So I wait and while I am waiting I get the call, my puppy gave up and is now in heaven. I was devastated. I couldn't hardly breath I was crying so hard.
So again I try to get Amy on the phone and nobody would answer. I called her several times that night and the next few days. I was so mad and hurt. I put out $950 to start with for the puppy and the shipping. Then I had to put out another $186 because Amy did not pay shipping so that was $1,136 plus the $897.57 for vet care. So now I am up to $2,033.57 on a puppy I had for all of 7 hours. Forget the money, it breaks my heart at how this poor puppy suffered.
What is wrong with Amy/Lanie? Why is she not taking care of the puppies correctly? It makes me sick. She took my hard earned money and god only knows what she did with it. She is a liar. Please do not buy a puppy from her it will only end in heart ace. We need to shut her PUPPY MILL down. I have spoken with someone who knows Amy and has been to her house. And they say she is a very bad puppy mill. Her dogs will not let you touch them. Amy told this person that the dogs are there for breeding not love and attention. They have not had a hand laid on them since she got them. That's sad.
Just to let you all know I did find a wonderful breeder, and I got a beautiful healthy Poodle puppy. I have named her Prissy and she has helped me though this. I don't know what I would do with out her and my husband. It has taken me some time to be able to write this report. I hope it helps to give an idea of what kind of people Kevin and Amy Veal are. I understand they have children and I feel sorry for the children being raised to cheat and steal from people. My god watch over those poor children, I sure hope she cares for them more then her dogs.
