Let me start with saying that " Virginia Personnel, Inc." is a 100 % rip off. And i would not advise anyone to use their services. I recently moved to Virginia and i couldnt find a good paying job quick enough so I was looking in the paper and I came accross an add that said warehouse work up to 18$ per hour, so I called the number and they said to come in to talk to them. Well when I got there (to Virginia Personnel) they seemed to be like they would be very helpfull.
I have never been to and employment agency (or what ever they call theirself). They went on to make this seem like a good oppertunity. Making me under the impression that they work with employers and have certiant jobs that they fill. Pretty much telling me that i was gaurenteed a job pretty quick. Then after they played up how good their services were then they told me that there was a fee of three hundred and something dollars. Well i didnt have that much money (hints i needed a job!) so they told me that i could pay $60 every 2 weeks till i payed it off.
The only thing was that if i did it in payments the total world be $485.00. I agreed to do this because i was desperate to find employment and they seemed like i was gaurented employment quick. I Paid just a $10 deposit with my check card. All of this was on 5/29. So i paid them the deposit and they told me to come in to the office tomorrow and they would give me a list of jobs to choose from and to bring my check book to write them a check for the remaining of my balance to hold uncase i do not pay them my remaning balance.
I went back to the office on 5/30 and after i waited a while they took the check and gave a phone number to call on 5/31 and a certiant time. And when i called they were supposed to give me the list of jobs. I called when i was told to call and i find out that all they do is just tell me random places that happen to be hireing and that is ALL THEY DO! The same jobs that are listed in the paper. They told me that all they have avalible is 1 job. (which is nothing like what i was told the first day i went into the office.)
So i went to the job they told me was hiring and filled out an application. When i took it to the desk the lady put it into a folder 3 inches thick with other ones. This was not how they made their services sound so i called Virginia Personnel and I told them that this is not what i was told would happend and i did not want their services anymore. They told me that i signed the paper and no matter what i still owe them the money. I did sign the paper and I agreed to sill pay the money. Everything was fine.
Then i went online to check out my bank account on 6/5 and realized that they have been taking money out of my account. My first Payment for them was due on 6/12. So at this time nothing was due to them. They took out the $10 fee i payed on 5/30. They also took out two payment of $100 Dollars in the same day, 6/01.
Then on 6/4 they took out another $20. I called them and asked them why they have taken all this money and all on diffent times and different amounts. And they told me that since I told them i didnt want their service but i agreed to pay that they wanted to make sure they got there money. They didnt think i would actually pay it. I told them I would pay and my payments were not due yet. They told me that this was not their problem and they would not refund my money, and my payment of $60 still had to be paid on the 12th. This can not be legal.
In this process they have also overdrawn my account and I not have a neg. Balance with SEVERAL overdraft fees. They informed me that was not their problem eighter. This place is all a scam! Dont go there for your employment needs. They rip off the people who aparently have no jobs. I plan on taking legal action about this and hopefully If enough people that have had the same proplem as i have come forward and do the same, Virginia Personel wont be able to to this to other people.
