I recently moved to Indianapolis from San Diego California. I was searching in the paper for jobs and came across a company, Employment One, that supposedly had great jobs not accessable to the public.
I thought the company sounded great so I went to their office and paid a huge fee $180 to gain access to their job database. So once you pay the fee you can check their database as well as new job listings and call in or stop by to find out contact information for the company.
I wrote down jobs I found on their exclusive site and in the Sunday paper and called in for more info. I called the customer service number I was given and the CS woman looked up the job numbers I gave her. I was given email addresses to email my resume to and I did so with no responses at all. After calling in 2 or 3 times with my new job numbers I was interested in, most of them were the same companies over and over not to mention the jobs were not exclusive, like Clarian Health and other medical offices and I had to go to the clarian website to apply, they gave me no special number or contact person or email address! I couldnt believe it!
A few weeks later I called in again about some jobs advertised in the paper by Employment 1 as receptionist, office admin and clerical jobs but the CS person told me in their system they were coming up as security, and fork lift operating jobs. She said she would look into it and call me back. I waited a day or 2 and got no call back, so I brushed it off and figured I would try calling in with some new jobs I was interested in.
Some weeks later I called in with more job interests, the customer service person told me she was "too busy to help me" and that I would have to come down to their office and "punch in the numbers myself" to get the contact info. I told her the office was too far a drive for me as had no job and I needed someone to help me over the phone, she resisted and resisted. I finally told her I didnt want to use the service and I just wanted a refund of my money. Hearing refund put her into a panic and all of the sudden she wanted to help, I told her I was just unhappy with the service and I wanted a refund.
After she completely disgusted me with her rudeness and poor chioce of words to a paying customer she put a manager on the line. The manager also refused a refund. So I asked for the number to their corporate office, the manager then told me he could not give me that information. After going back and forth about it I finally told him to simply have someone from their corporate office call me.
Days went by and I got no call, until one morning I had a voicemail asking for me to come into the office talk to them. I am so completely frustrated with this company, I cannot believe the poor customer service and how absolutely rudely I was spoken to, one would think after paying such a hefty fee, $180 bucks, they would at least treat me with some respect. I just want my money back and I want everyone in Indy to know how horrible this company is, DO NOT USE EMPLOYMENT 1!!!
