My husband took some clothes there for me using a 5 piece special coupon for 12.99. I had 8 pieces of clothing; 4 dresses, 2 skirts, 2 shirts.
When I got the clothes home, I noticed that 1 of my dresses was missing. The owner/manager remember the dress when I called.
However, he refused to believe me that it wasn't in the clothes I took home. He also said once I left the store with the order that it was my fault the dress wasn't there.
In other words, since I didn't think to check the order before I left the store, his hands were clean. Whatever happened to "The customer's always right"?
Not only this but I was charged 14.99 for the 5 piece special and I was charged for 4 dresses. Now I had a total of 8 pieces but was charged for nine!
The owner did some tap dance about the coupon being for half pieces not full pieces. That would mean that half pieces would cost more than $3/piece normally.
If I had known that I would not have even considered going there. I had called around Saturday and most of the dry cleaners around my area charge $2.50-2.75 for shirts and skirts and $7.00 for dresses.
I chose this company because of the coupon only. I had found other dry cleaners with 5 piece specials for $12.99 and $13.99.
So why would I go them instead of their competition if the coupon didn't say $12.99?
I am mainly angry because the man remembers my dress but refuses to look for it in his cleaners.
