I am the latest in what appears to be a long and growing list of ripped off small business owners. I share the same story as the other posters in this group. A week of so called consulting with a worthless canned deliverable at weeks end that may cost me $15,000. They expect post dated checks and wont leave without one. I have placed a stop payment on mine.
It appears that IPA uses the same gameplan for every consulting engagement regardless of the situation, and that they target small business owners because they typically dont have the wherewithal nor expertise to recognize a con job and or put up a fight once they have been had. Mine and the other engagements listed herein approximated 40-50 hours at $245 per hour plus travel expenses and per diems. The average bill is for $15,000 or so. This must be a magical threshold for them.
We need to fight back!
I need your help. Since I stopped payment I fully expect a lawsuit from them. I have all the paperwork from them documenting all the things they alleged they would do and I feel comfortable that I have a solid legal case against them.
Has anyone started a class action lawsuit against these guys? What other groups have been formed to pull together our collective resources so we can fight back - does anyone know of some names of such groups or orgs?
I plan on going to the Attorney General's offices in my homestate and Illinois, as well as my fed and state legislators. I am also filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau.
I also plan on going to the largest sue happy law firm in my state and seeing if I can pull together a list of names from the internet to get a class action lawsuit going.
Any other suggestions?
We must fight these guys - they are literally killing the american dream folks!!!
