I bought an AT&T phone card (sold at Walmart). It was $19 for 300 minutes. Imagine my surprise when I found out that I really only bought 60 minutes!!! I read and re-read the fine print, nothing explained this. When I finally got through to customer service, I got the most bizarre convoluted explanation... It was ridiculous. They divided 60 minutes times 5 which equals 300. Okay. Why? She couldn't explain it to me. Then she launched into some weird explanation about calling out of state... So I asked her, do I get the 300 minutes calling state to state... She said no. It just doesn't exist.
If they are selling 60 minutes for $19 then just say so on the card.By putting 300 minutes on the card you are fooled into thinking you get that, but you really only get 1 hour. There is no 300 minutes. AT&T is such a rip off company. I will not buy their products or use any of their services ever again.
If you want a decent phone card that gives you what you paid for, get the MCI card sold at Costco or Sams. You pay $19.99 for 670 minutes and that is what you get.
